Deworming in animals

What is Deworming ?

          Deworming is sometimes known as worming, drenching or dehelmintization, is the giving of an anthelmintic drug (a wormer, dewormer, or drench) to a human or animal to rid them of helminths parasites, such as roundworm, flukes and tapewormWel dewormers for use in livestock can be formulated as a feed supplement that is eaten, a paste or gel that is deposited at the back of the animal's mouth, a liquid drench given orally, an injectable, or as a pour-on which can be applied to the animal's topline. In dogs and cats , purge dewormers come in many forms including a granular form to be added to food, pill form, chew tablets, and liquid suspensions.

Why Derworming in needed ?
     For animal care and management, Deworming is very necessary practise . Because worms may lead to some minor diseases to major . 
Things taking in mind during Deworming. 
  1.  Environmental stress.
  2. Feeding schedules 
  3. Expiry of products
  4. Quality of feed or food which you are going to use for Deworming 
  5. Animal,s age
  6. Animal health 
  7. Animal pregnancy status
  8. Animal,s Deworming history 
  9. you should know dose of dewormer for specific animals 
 10.You should have expertise.




   What should I do after Deworming?
  1. placed abundant water 
  2. monitor animal atleast for 2 hours
  3. contact immediately veterinarian if you feel any abnormalities in behaviour 
  4. you can find hypersalivation , vomiting dirrhoea .
  5. monitor  stoles during Deworming on regular bases.
